Medical Assistant

Boulder Community Health, Boulder, CO 80303

$20.20 - $27.32 an hour - Full Time, Weekdays. 40 hours a week.

Boulder Community health is seeking a Medical Assistant, where you will serve as a dedicated patient caregiver. Within our care delivery system, the MA organizes care around patients, while engaging a multidisciplinary care team. Join our team and contribute to the well-being of our patients.

Qualifications

Graduate from a Medical Assistant program preferred, or

Colorado LPN license in good standing preferred, or

Pass a national Medical Assistant Certification exam preferred.

BLS certification required by the end of conditional period.

Responsibilities

Takes patient histories, vital signs and thoroughly documents in patient chart.

Prepares and maintains supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization.

Assists physicians in preparing for minor surgeries and physicals.

Assists with scheduling of tests and treatments.

Performs selected nursing and administrative duties.

Performs venipunctures and fingerstick phlebotomy, throat cultures, urinalysis, EKG's, and other laboratory procedures as directed
