Boulware Springs Charter is a public, non-profit charter school located in northeast Gainesville and serves students in grades K-5.
Start Date: Immediately (as needed basis)
Hourly Rate: $140.00 (full day); $70 (half day-a.m./p.m.)
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 7:30-3:15 (Whole Day)
Wednesday: 7:30-2:15
Requirements:
AA Degree and/or completion of 60 college credit hours
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
The substitute teacher will work on an as-needed basis. We will notify the substitute teacher when we have days available for work or may contact the substitute teacher early in the morning for a teacher who is ill. The substitute teacher must be reliable and on time. The substitute teacher will follow the regular teacher's lesson plans in a way that ensures consistency and optimal learning, maintain a well-managed classroom, supervise students at all times, and follow the school's behavior plan.
Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years (60 hours) of college credit, experience working with elementary-aged children in a school setting, and be able to pass a Level 2 background check with fingerprinting. Alachua County substitute teachers are welcome to apply.
