Operations Lead – Party Rentals (Part-Time)

We are looking for an awesome Operations Lead to join our Orland Park team!

This role is hands-on and active. You’ll be leading our delivery crew while also serving as the primary delivery driver. You’ll be involved in everything from preparing equipment during the week to running smooth, on-time deliveries on the weekends.

Summary

• Weekends are mandatory
• $20/hour
• 20–40 hours per week: more hours in the warmer months, fewer hours in the colder months, guaranteed 20 hours per week minimum
• Your primary role will be leading our delivery crew while also being the main delivery driver (valid driver's license required - we use smaller trucks so regular license is all you need)
• A typical weekday includes preparing equipment for upcoming deliveries, making sure everything is clean and ready, trucks are fueled and maintained, and delivery routes are planned
• On weekends, you’ll ensure the crew arrives on time, trucks are loaded correctly, and all deliveries are completed on schedule while exceeding customer expectations
• You’ll also help hire and train new delivery team members

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Leading setup and teardown crews at customer locations
• Driving delivery trucks and assisting with loading and unloading equipment
• Making sure all equipment is cleaned, dried, inspected, and stored properly
• Managing daily delivery schedules and crew assignments
• Ensuring trucks are fully prepared before routes begin
• Planning out the delivery route using our software
• Making sure crews follow safety standards and company procedures
• Tracking equipment issues, damage, and missing items
• Training and onboarding new team members
• Supporting hiring and scheduling of staff
• Keeping the warehouse organized and ready for upcoming events
• Communicating clearly with the admin team and management

What We’re Looking For

• Enjoys physical work and being active
• Able to lift and move heavy equipment (50–100 lbs)
• Comfortable driving box trucks and small trailers or willing to learn
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Able to stay organized in a fast-paced environment
• Available to work weekends consistently
• Previous experience in delivery, warehouse, construction, logistics, or events is a plus
