Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nurse's Aide to join our healthcare team fulltime. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to nursing staff and assist patients with daily living activities. This role is vital in ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients, particularly in settings such as memory care, geriatrics, and critical care.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with personal hygiene, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Support patients with mobility and transfers, including lifting as necessary.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance patient well-being.
- Assist with feeding and hydration needs of patients.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by following infection control protocols.
- Document patient care activities accurately using Point Click Care.
- Participate in memory care activities to engage patients cognitively and socially.
- Provide catheter care as needed, ensuring patient comfort and dignity.
Requirements
- Certification as a Kentucky Nurse's Aide.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is a plus.
- Experience in behavioral health or critical care settings is desirable.
- Strong understanding of patient care principles, particularly in geriatrics and memory care.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to lift and move patients safely while adhering to safety protocols.
