Position Responsibilities

*Starting at $17.00/ hour - Consistent Schedule

• Provide outstanding customer service and address the needs of all customers in a timely manner
• Demonstrate your passion for food and all Bow Street Market products
• Break down grocery deliveries and stock product to the sales floor shelves, coolers, and freezers
• Order and maintain inventory levels in the Dairy and frozen departments
• Carefully merchandise product to ensure an outstanding presentation for our guests
• Follow all stocking, pricing and cleanliness standards are followed
• Perform assigned tasks such as replenishing merchandise, rotating products, or setting up displays
• Process and merchandise all product with care, paying special attention to stocking, pricing, and cleanliness standards
• Work safely throughout every day and assist customers and team members with lifting when available
• Build positive relationships with the customers and team members
• Maintain excellent communication with the management team and all associates in the store
• Assist in special projects and perform other duties as assigned
• Observe and follow all company policies and established standard practices
• Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance and comply with company personal appearance policy
• Assist in training other associates when assigned
• Support company safety standards
• Communicate equipment repairs or maintenance work needed
• Keep work area free from debris and safety hazards
• Treat all co-workers with kindness and respect
• Develop product knowledge in all areas of assigned department
• Have total understanding of department’s standard practice manual and its intent
• Observe and maintain company sanitation and food safety standards
• Maintain the quality of department’s appearance and presentation at all times
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent. Effective communication, customer service, and selling skills. Effective interpersonal skills and a desire to work in a team environment. Must meet minimum age requirements to comply with company policy – 18 years of age. Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job. Must love working with food!

Physical Requirements

• Perform repetitive grasping, pinching, squeezing and hand/arm motions
• Stand and walk 100% of the time
• Reach to shoulder level or overhead while lifting 30lbs on occasion.
• Frequent bending, reaching, grasping & lifting items at or above waist level
• Ability to lift to 50 pounds regularly, including overhead lifting, and up to 100 pounds occasionally
• Ability to push and pull carts weighing 200 pounds occasionally
