Overview
Logistician (EDOS-2024-21440) :
Bowhead seeks a Logistician who analyzes, organizes, plans and administers various phases of day-to-day provisioning, spares, or maintenance/repair activities for one or more programs of moderate scope.
Responsibilities
Job Duties include but are not limited to:
- Analyzes contractual documents, technical data, customer usage data, customer maintenance practices, customer operation characteristics, and related reports for assigned contracts to determine spares provisioning or maintenance/repair requirements.
- Develops logistics plans in order to enhance distribution of goods and supplies. Identifies, prioritizes, and assesses key logistics assets and infrastructures.
- Conducts distribution and network studies, monitors inventory and analyzes requirements in order to develop strategies to achieve desired delivery times.
Qualifications
• One to three (1-3) years combined experience in military logistics, procurement and Warehouse operations.
• Demonstrated experience with Government procurements, maintaining database systems, and with military logistics operations.
• Bachelors degree required
• Experience in the following Government systems is preferred: IBPES PMT Share Point
• Knowledge of DRMO process, General Equipment Inventory, warehouse processing (OM&S) – these are a bit Dahlgren specific and can be learned.
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
Physical Demands:
• Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
• Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
