Overview: As a Facilities Maintenance Technician at Boxboard Products, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and overall maintenance of our facilities. You will manage contractor work, perform routine inspections, and handle repairs across various systems to keep our operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contractor Management: Coordinate and oversee contractor work related to facility maintenance and repairs.
- Emergency Systems Maintenance: Perform monthly inspections and maintenance of emergency lighting systems and alarms to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Fire Safety: Conduct weekly and monthly inspections of fire extinguishers and sprinkler systems.
- Lighting Maintenance: Maintain and repair lighting systems in parking lots, production areas, and office spaces.
- Concrete Repairs: Handle concrete repair and modifications across all plant facilities.
- Safety Equipment: Install, modify, and repair safety guards and platforms around machinery and throughout the plant.
- Doors & Locks Maintenance: Inspect, maintain, and repair all facility doors, seals, and locks, including dock doors and latches.
- Plumbing & HVAC: Address plumbing issues and coordinate HVAC repairs, including managing external contractors as needed.
- AIB Audit Support: Assist in preparation for AIB audits, addressing any necessary repairs to ensure compliance.
- IT Support: Collaborate with the IT team on physical installations for ongoing or upcoming projects.
- Safety Inspections: Conduct plant-wide safety inspections on a weekly and monthly basis, focusing on non-machinery-related aspects.
- General Maintenance: Provide ongoing maintenance support across various areas, including bollard installation and fulfillment maintenance.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify and address facility maintenance needs to support overall plant operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and contractors.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to handle emergency repairs and respond to urgent issues.
