This role is responsible for managing an assigned client book, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting the overall health and growth of the firm's client relationships. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
This is not a virtual role but located at the main Box Financial Advisors office, 1600 W Northwest Hwy, Suite 300, Grapevine, Texas 76051.
Financial Planning & Strategy:
- Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive financial plans tailored to each client’s unique goals and values.
- Evaluate and recommend strategies for retirement planning, investment allocation, estate planning, insurance needs, tax efficiency, and charitable giving.
- Align all planning with a values-based or stewardship approach, when appropriate.
Book Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients.
- Build long-term relationships founded on trust, stewardship, and integrity.
- Conduct regular check-ins and annual reviews to ensure clients remain on track toward their financial goals.
- Address life changes, market events, and evolving client needs proactively.
- Facilitate investment related communication with assigned clients to execute on proposed allocation plans.
Investment Management:
- Guide clients on investment strategy in alignment with their risk tolerance and objectives.
- Oversee portfolio construction and monitor performance.
- Collaborate with internal investment teams or external partners for implementation and rebalancing.
- Educate clients on market dynamics and investment philosophies to build confidence and understanding.
Business Development:
- Identify opportunities to expand existing relationships or attract new clients through referrals, networking, and community involvement.
- Communicate the firm’s value proposition clearly and effectively.
- Participate in client events, workshops, or webinars as a thought leader.
Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure all client interactions and recommendations meet industry compliance standards and firm policies.
- Maintain detailed and organized records of client communication and planning activities.
- Assist with audits and internal reviews as needed.
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Provide mentoring and guidance to advisors and/or client service staff..
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, compliance, and investment teams.
- Contribute in internal training, process improvements, and team development efforts.
- Constantly look for areas to improve accuracy, efficiency, and/or simplicity in any internal polices or procedures.
- Participate in firm strategic planning or culture-shaping initiatives.
Personal and Organizational Development:
- Pursue ongoing professional growth through certifications, continuing education, and industry training (e.g., CFP®, CFA, CKA).
- Stay current on market trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in financial planning and client service by actively engaging related industry associations.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Financial & Technical Knowledge:
- Deep understanding of financial planning strategies, principles, including retirement, estate, tax, investment, risk management, and insurance planning.
- Familiarity with financial planning software (Orion and RightCapital) and CRM software (Salesforce).
- Knowledge of investment products, markets, and portfolio theory, including modern risk management strategies.
- Awareness of applicable regulatory and compliance standards (SEC, FINRA, CFP® Board, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field is required.
- Certifications: Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) strongly preferred. Other designations (CFA, CKA, CPA, ChFC, etc.) are a plus.
- Experience: 3–7 years of direct client-facing experience in financial planning, wealth management, or a related field.
- Licensing: Series 65 or equivalent licensing to provide investment advice. Insurance license is strongly preferred.
- Values Alignment: Strong alignment with the firm’s mission, whether faith-based, stewardship-focused, or values-driven.
Working Conditions:
- Work Environment: This role is typically performed in a professional office setting. The Wealth Advisor is expected to work on-site during regular business hours, with occasional remote work flexibility depending on client needs and firm policy.
- Hours: Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with occasional evening or weekend meetings as needed to accommodate client schedules or firm events.
- Client Interaction: Frequent in-person, virtual, and phone meetings with clients. The role requires a high level of interpersonal engagement and responsiveness.
- Travel Requirements: Minimal travel may be required for client visits, conferences, or off-site team events—primarily local or regional.
- Physical Requirements: The role primarily involves desk-based work, extended periods of computer use, and light physical activity related to office tasks (e.g., setting up client meetings, carrying laptops or presentation materials).
- Dress Code: Professional business attire is expected for client-facing interactions; business casual may be appropriate for specific company events.
