Porter/Maintenance

Summary/Objective

We are seeking a dedicated Part-time Porter/Maintenance team member to join our facility in providing essential maintenance and upkeep services.

The Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of our residential communities, ensuring a welcoming and pristine environment for our residents. This role involves regular cleaning, minor maintenance tasks, and assisting with the overall care of the homes and communal areas. The Porter plays a vital part in enhancing the living experience of our residents by providing a clean, safe, and well-maintained living environment.

Essential Functions

· Provides a clean, odor free, and safe environment for our residents and guests.

· Proactively maintains assigned areas and equipment.

· Completes weekly assignments in a timely manner through daily work.

· Can assist with efficient completion of turnover and refurbishing of assigned units.

· Maintains all equipment and uses supplies efficiently.

· Has the ability to learn and apply general maintenance practices.

· Reports all safety and housekeeping concerns to Management.

· Completes additional cleaning projects as scheduled.

· Attends and participates in all mandatory and scheduled training.

· General grounds work will be required. Able to a lift minimum of 25lbs.

· Completes all other duties as assigned by supervisor.

· Ability to work independently and provide good customer service.

· Display strong work ethic with good verbal communication skills.

· Able to communicate in English.

· Ability to multi-task.

· Flexible with schedule and assignments.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a part-time position. Days and hours of work vary and can be established with your manager. Must be flexible with schedule and assignments to include being available for the preparation of the property during inclement weather to include snow removal, etc.

Travel

No travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience

Graduation from high school or GED equivalent.
