Big Sky Resort is seeking a Caretaker to join our Employee Housing Team. The caretaker position is responsible for housekeeping and general upkeep at Big Sky Resort’s local Employee Housing properties, including 800 Employee Housing beds across 4 campus locations. Caretakers are responsible for performing general housekeeping and custodial duties, and assisting with some basic maintenance and administrative tasks.
This is a Full-Time Year-Round benefited position.
Responsibilities
- Perform housekeeping and custodial duties, including deep cleans.
- Assist with basic preventative maintenance duties.
- Assist with bi-weekly room inspections.
- Assist with work orders as needed.
- Assist with distributing paperwork, notices, and other forms of resident communications.
- Daily upkeep and cleaning of public areas and shared spaces.
- Performing snow removal through winter months.
- Assist with hotel turnovers and furniture moves.
- Assist in maintaining up to date housekeeping and maintenance records in StarRez.
- Assist in reporting and addressing resident conduct issues within Employee Housing.
- Assisting the Housing Office with other housekeeping, maintenance, and administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Ability to lift up to 40lbs
- Computer literacy essential
- Experience in StarRez preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Valid driver’s license
