Job Title: School Bus Driver ? Preschool & School-Age Routes Location:
Boys & Girls Club Family Center Job Type: Part-Time / Full-Time (Specify
based on need) Reports To: Transportation Coordinator / Program Director
Position Summary: The Boys & Girls Club Family Center is seeking a
dependable and compassionate School Bus Driver to safely transport
children to and from the Club. This role includes morning pickups of
preschool-aged children and afternoon pickups of school-age children
from local schools along with early evening dismal drop-offs from the
Club to Children?s homes. The ideal candidate will ensure a safe,
timely, and welcoming transportation experience for all youth served.
Work Hours: - Morning Shift: 7:00 AM - 8:00 AM (Preschool pickups) -
Afternoon Shift: 1:30 PM - 7:30 PM (School-age pickups and drop-offs)
Key Responsibilities: - Safely operate a school bus to: - Pick up
preschool children in the morning from designated locations and drop
them off at the Club. - Pick up school-age children from local schools
in the afternoon and return them to the Club. - Conduct daily pre-trip
and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and readiness. -
Maintain accurate records of attendance, pickup/drop-off times, and
route logs. - Ensure proper use of child safety restraints and supervise
children during transport. - Assist children with boarding and exiting
the bus safely. - Communicate effectively with parents, guardians,
school personnel, and Club staff. - Maintain a clean and orderly bus
environment. - Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and Club
policies. - Respond appropriately to emergencies or unexpected
situations. Qualifications: Valid Commercial Driver?s License (CDL) with
School Bus and Passenger endorsements. DOT Physical Clean driving record
and background check. Experience working with children, especially
preschool and school-age youth. Strong communication and interpersonal
skills. Ability to remain calm and patient in a dynamic environment. CPR
And First Aid Certification (or Willingness To Obtain). Preferred
