What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Development Professional position at Boys & Girls Club of Greater Holland?
Skills:
Establish daily age-appropriate programs and activities that support the Club's mission, vision, and values
Promote and encourage member participation in programs and activities throughout the Club
Be actively engaged with Club members for the duration of their shift
Always keep respectful boundaries within relationships with staff, volunteers, and youth
Develop and take ownership of relevant program partnerships with schools and community organizations
Provide guidance and discipline to ensure a safe and positive environment, including discussing behaviors or concerns with parents or guardians
Prepare program areas before members' arrival and make sure everything is clean and tidy at the end of each day's programming
Be aware of all safety and emergency procedures of the Club
Attend all staff meetings, trainings, and special programs or Club events
Be willing to facilitate Parent Orientations
Assist Director and other staff members as needed
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of one year of experience working directly with school-age youth
Flexible and dependable
Reliable transportation
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $18.45 per hour
Expected hours: 22.5 per week
