Front Desk Staff

Overview
Boys and Girls Club of Chaffee County is seeking a new Front Desk Agent for the Salida Club. Under the direct supervision of the Club Director, the Front Desk Agent is responsible for the reception area (Front Desk) at the Club. This position's responsibilities include: the greeting of all guests, answering phone calls, assisting guests with questions regarding the Boys & Girls Club services, checking in members, and receiving and tracking monies for membership accounts.

Anticipated hours will be: Monday- Thursday: 3-6:30pm and Fridays 8:15am - 5:30pm during the school year, with possibility to increase hours during the Summer when the Club is open 8:30am-5:30pm every weekday. The Club will consider a candidate for this position that can't fulfill all the hours, so candidates who are unavailable one day a week with interest in the position are encouraged to still apply. Pay DOE.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to act as the receptionist for the Club during programming hours.
• Maintains general files such as attendance sheets, parent sign out sheets, etc.
• Answers phone and all dispatches promptly.
• Signs up new members, collects membership fees, and submits reports of membership receipts.
• Maintain check in/out of all members and guests.
• Greets and screens all club visitors and refers them to appropriate staff.
• Ensures that accurate membership and attendance records are being kept daily.
• Conveys a positive public relation image to each member and guest.
• Responsible for the daily clean-up of front desk area.
• Performs other clerical duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Club Director.
• Does not supervise others.

Skills

• Proven experience in a front desk or customer service role is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of proper filing procedures.
• Ability to relate with children and parents.
• Experience in working with children and knowledge of youth development.
• Strong Organization, Time Management Skills and ability to set Priorities.
• Strong Work Ethic, Positive Attitude, High Level of Energy and Flexibility.
• Strong communication, Interpersonal skills, and Attention to Detail.
• Must pass background check prior to employment, and pass ongoing background checks throughout employment.
• The noise level in the work environment can be high due to work is conducted in a Club for children, inside and outside setting.

The Front Desk Clerk is a part-time non-benefited position. This position does allow free Club membership to any children within the employee’s household that are 6-18 years of age.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
