Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Bus Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety, customer service, and punctuality. As a Bus Driver, you will be responsible for transporting kids safely and efficiently while maintaining a professional demeanor.
Duties
- Safely operate buses and other vehicles to transport passengers to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and maintenance.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing excellent customer service.
- Maintain accurate records of routes, passenger counts, and any incidents that occur during trips.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding schedules and any issues that arise.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
- Provide assistance for paratransit services as needed, ensuring accessibility for all passengers.
- Handle minor mechanical issues or maintenance tasks as required.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for bus driving.
- A&P Endorsement
- Proven experience in bus driving or similar roles such as delivery driver or shuttle driving.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance on vehicles.
- Experience with paratransit services is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in English to interact effectively with passengers and team members.
- Previous experience in customer service roles is highly valued.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage unexpected situations safely.
