Job Title: Site Director - The Club Tween/Teen Site
Hours: Monday - Friday, Full-time position, 9:30am - 6:30pm

Job Summary
Under the direction and guidance of the Director of Operations, the Tween/Teen Site Director will be responsible for implementing age appropriate programs and developing local resources for members in 4th through 12th grade at the Tween/Teen Site located in the Sedalia Middle School. Programs will foster positive identity; education, employment, social, emotional and cultural competencies; community and civic involvement; health and life skills and a moral compass.
Job Functions:
- Provide year-round tween/teen program planning, seek out program opportunities, including conducting, monitoring and accessing member interest surveys and input to obtain and maintain effective programming.
- Provide employment, health, life skills and training opportunities to Club members using needs-based and interest-based programs.
- Assist with the promotion and implementation of all other teen program initiatives that reinforce a positive self-identity.
- Compile state of the art tween/teen resources, information and data to address current and future trends affecting teens.
- Participate in Club staff and advisory meetings to ensure tween/teen interests and concerns are addressed in a manner consistent with, and in conformance with, the mission and policies of the Boys & Girls Club.
- Serve as a positive adult role model at all Club, local and national events.
- Assist with any additional projects as assigned by Club management.
- Adhere to organizational policies and procedures as described in the Club's employee handbook.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Primary focus will be ensuring programs are efficiently disbursed and running optimally, direct supervision of on-site staff, and meeting data and outcome measurements. Additional high priorities include community relations, school partnerships, and quality programming for all youth and families.
- Recruit, retain, and manage a strong team of staff capable of providing outstanding services to young people.
- Display a high level of enthusiasm and commitment for programmatic activities while ensuring the safety of all members and demonstrating positive values and ethical behavior.
- Orient all staff in safety protocols, site expectations, and the Boys & Girls Club culture.
Preferred Skills/Knowledge:
- Preferred Bachelor's degree in recreation, behavioral sciences, education, administration or related fields.
- Experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization working with youth, with at least one year of program management experience planning and supervising activities for Tweens and Teens is preferred.
Abilities:
- Excellent human relations, verbal and written communication skills.
- Intermediate knowledge of computers.
- Ability to collaborate with other community-based youth organizations and social service agencies.
- Knowledge of programs and resources available to create a well-rounded tween/teen program and ability to establish positive peer working relationships.
- Ability to organize tween/teen outreach events, including recruitment presentations.
- Ability to recruit, train, supervise, evaluate, and motivate staff.
- Ability to relate effectively with members including with behavior issues.
