What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Adult Psychologist position at Boys Town?
- Provides psychotherapy services to clients each week.
- Conducts clinical assessments.
- Meets monthly clinical productivity expectations.
- Assists in establishing and maintaining a referral base from Boys Town, medical providers, other treatment providers, and the general community.
- Provides clinical consultation with referral base for the purpose of coordinating care for clients.
- Obtains ongoing education related to the fields of clinical psychology and clinical assessment and intervention.
- Participates in clinical training activities and provides training in various psychological topics for Clinic staff.
- Knowledge of the theories, principles, and practices of adult psychology with an emphasis on integrative approaches for addressing affective, physiological, cognitive, behavioral, and spiritual needs of clients.
- Ability to apply psychological principles to therapeutic interventions with individuals, couples, and groups.
- Skill in conducting clinical assessments, determining diagnoses, providing therapy, and treatment planning for adults.
- Proficiency in assessing and treating a wide range of clinical concerns and diagnoses, such as mood disorders, anxiety and fears, trauma- and stressor-related conditions, and ADHD.
- Knowledge of the principles and methods of administering, scoring, and interpreting a wide variety of standardized psychological tests and measures.
- Skill in conducting evaluations and administering standardized tests and measures.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of people.
- Ph.D. or Psy.D. in clinical, school, and/or counseling psychology required.
- Completed an APA approved internship or equivalent required.
- Experience providing psychological services to adults required.
- Licensed (or licensable) Psychologist, Counselor, or Mental Health Practitioner in the state in which practicing required.
