What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Teacher position at Boys Town?
- Small class sizes (10-12 students)
- Student ages 10-18
- Home and school collaborative use of the Boys Town Behavior model, and wrap around services for students
- Full parental support through our Family Teaching program
- Brand new state of the art Education Center, with upgraded teaching technology
- Student 1:1 laptops
- Small group and 1:1 paraprofessional support. Team teaching model where appropriate
- Individualized teacher development opportunities offered by Instructional Coaching, Instructional Technology Coaching and Boys Town Behavior Model Coaching
- Wrap-around service from the Family Home Program and Behavioral Health Care
- Professional growth and development opportunities
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited school required.
- Current Nebraska Teaching Certificate or Nebraska Substitute Teacher Certificate or a Local Substitute Teacher Certificate required.
- PEM and nationally recognized personal restraint model must be obtained if subbing in the RTC or select settings required.
- Background and experience to include work with learning disabled and behaviorally impaired learners preferred.
- Special Education endorsement preferred.
- Current CPR certification preferred.
