Responsibilities

Bozzuto is seeking a highly-experienced real estate finance professional to join its capital markets team to manage debt raising efforts for the firm’s development and acquisitions platforms. The Manager, Capital Markets will be a key member of Bozzuto’s team that is responsible for sourcing, negotiating and closing debt transactions and managing lender relationships. This individual will be involved in all aspects of the firm’s secured and unsecured financings and will report to the Senior Vice President, Capital Markets.

As Manager, Capital Markets, your primary responsibilities include:

• Lead the marketing of financing opportunities to banks, agency/HUD lenders, life insurance companies, debt funds and other real estate debt providers.
• Oversee preparation of marketing materials and coordinate lender due diligence process, working closely with acquisitions, development, asset management, property management and construction teams.
• Analyze and model debt financings and their impacts on joint venture economics.
• Negotiate term sheets and present financing recommendations to executive management and Investment Committee.
• Serve as business point of contact for loan documentation, working in conjunction with external legal counsel and equity joint venture partners.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with real estate debt financing sources.
• Facilitate lender approval of loan modifications, amendments, covenant waivers, major leases, etc.
• Proactively manage debt portfolio, including upcoming debt maturities, qualification for loan extensions, refinance opportunities and guaranty exposure.
• Respond to ad hoc requests from asset management and accounting teams regarding financing terms.

What you Bring To Us

• Undergraduate degree in business, real estate, finance, or economics with 7 years of professional experience in real estate finance, banking, accounting, or other analytical role.
• Experience executing real estate construction and permanent debt financings is required. Track record of successfully sourcing debt and running loan closing process, including review and negotiation of loan documents, is preferred.
• Outstanding attention to detail, work ethic and professional integrity.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling, including strong understanding of real estate capital structures and experience with joint venture and/or fund waterfalls.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including ability to effectively summarize information and clearly, logically, and concisely articulate an argument along with supporting rationale.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, and as a productive member of a team.
• Positive, self-starting attitude.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities and handle tight timelines.

Salary Range

$120,000—$160,000 USD
