Description - Sales and Group/Catering Manager
Reports to: Operations Manager
This is an Salaried $26,000 (exempt part time 30 hrs/wk) position with “no cap” commission on sales. A majority of the work can be done remotely. (must be able to visit local business and work on-site approximately 2 days a week)
Job Summary:
The goals are to build brand awareness and sales, facilitate execution of catering orders and follow-up with clients to ensure residual business and long-term growth. This is accomplished through creative marketing/sampling while always maintaining a resolute focus on growing the Jimmy John's brand and attending events and being the face of Jimmy John’s.
This position requires a growth mindset to capitalize on current successes as well as develop strategies to overcome weaknesses.
The primary focus is implementing strategies or initiatives aimed at attracting new customers, increasing sales, or exploring new revenue streams.
Work hours are typically 10am-5pm with an hour for lunch
This is a PTO eligible position
Duties & Responsibilities:
Work independently and report to the Operations Manager.
Execute Local Store Marketing campaigns.
Identify your unit's delivery area. This is the store's market.
Set up a grid system of the delivery area for sampling/marketing.
Drive and record every business name in each and every grid. (ie. apartments and hotels)
Create a spreadsheet listing each business name for each grid.
Lead generation/cold calling and follow up.
Set up meetings with potential clients that relate to Jimmy John's catering and delivery.
Help with store operations when needed to execute a large catering order.
Set up catering orders in accordance with the customers needs and Jimmy Johns Brand Standards.
Communicate with Operations Manager/GM to ensure a workable plan to ensure customers are satisfied with their orders.
Build a "Book of Business" for each store you have market responsibility for.
Keep daily records detailing business objectives. Write a daily report on activity to be sent to your Operations Manager at the end of the work day.
Follow up with catering customers within 1 business day.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must be able to read and write and communicate in English.
Must have the ability to run a register and make their own samples for marketing.
Position requires bending, reaching, stooping, repetitive motions, cognitive skills, standing and moving about the unit the entire workday.
Must be able to work in a moderately loud and fast moving environment. Jimmy John's stores play music at a moderate level all day.
Must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, current automobile insurance, and a clean driving record.
1 plus years marketing and/or sales experience strongly preferred
Jimmy John's experience is preferred.
