Overview
Bradley-Cleveland Community Services Agency is seeking a qualified and compassionate Rental Property Manager to oversee 46 single-family housing units owned or managed by the agency. This individual will ensure efficient operations, compliance with HUD and local housing standards, and the ongoing safety and satisfaction of our tenants. The ideal candidate will have experience in affordable housing, a strong understanding of property management regulations, and a commitment to serving low-income and vulnerable populations.
Responsibilities
· Oversee day-to-day operations of 46 single-family residential units
· Manage tenant relations including leasing, rent collection, conflict resolution, and enforcement of lease terms
· Ensure compliance with all applicable housing regulations, including fair housing, safety codes, and local ordinances
· Conduct routine inspections, coordinate maintenance and repairs, and maintain property standards
· Maintain accurate records of leases, rent payments, repairs, and communications
· Collaborate with agency staff on wraparound support services for tenants as needed
· Prepare reports for internal use and funding agencies as required
· Participate in budgeting and planning for property maintenance and capital improvements
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in property management, business administration, or related field preferred
· Minimum 3 years of experience in residential property management, preferably in affordable or subsidized housing
· Knowledge of landlord-tenant laws, fair housing regulations, and affordable housing programs
· Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
· Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
· Proficient in property management software and Microsoft Office
· Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience working with vulnerable populations or in a nonprofit/social service setting
· Familiarity with HUD regulations and rent calculation procedures
