Meat Processing Plant - Sanitation

Bradley’s Country Store is looking for a reliable and organized person to join our Meat Processing Plant Team. We are located 6 miles North of Bradfordville Road on Centerville Road. 10655 Centerville Road, Tallahassee, FL 32309.

Job Summary:

Supporting sanitation excellence throughout the plant, this position ensures proper cleaning of equipment and building structure that meets food safety requirements as required by USDA/FDA regulations and meets customer quality and safety standards. This position will oversee corrective actions are taken as needed to address sanitation deficiencies and prevent sanitation issues.

We are currently hiring for a part-time position from 7:30am to 1:30pm Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. Hours will increase during our Fall/Winter season.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Accountable for cleaning of all processing equipment and building structure is performed as intended in a timely manner
• Responsible for all aspects of sanitation, including but not limited to:

* Using approved chemicals to disinfect surfaces *Disassemble, sanitize, and reassemble food processing equipment * Clean production Floor *Washing all equipment *Washing all machinery

• Collaborate closely with management on sanitation; report potential issues to management
• Develop and foster a strong working relationship with all departments; ability to work well with others
• Demonstrate proficiency in leadership, problem solving, and ability to influence others to be successful

Working Conditions:

• Employees are regularly required to stand, squat, kneel, walk, and perform repetitive motions. This individual may be required to push and pull, climb, balance, reach and lift
• Must be willing to work in an environment with raw meat
• This position requires standing and walking for 8 to 10 hours a day
• Must be willing to work in a cold environment (30 to 40 degrees) with all appropriate protective equipment and required gear
• This position works in a cold, damp or hot and humid environment and these areas may have slippery walking surfaces

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years or older
• Must be willing and able to lift up to 75 pounds
• Must be able to work weekends and extended hours as necessary
• Cleaning experience required
• Experience in the professional sanitation or meat industries and processes is a plus
• Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Compensation is $14.00 - $15.00/hour.
