Reports to: Senior Business Manager (COO)
We are a mission-driven psychiatric private practice dedicated to providing accessible, compassionate care for individuals experiencing ADHD, depression, and other mental health challenges. Our work focuses on improving access to timely, personalized psychiatric care—and we're growing.
As we expand our impact, we’re seeking a Growth & Outreach Intern to support both patient conversion and retention, and help build referral relationships with providers and behavioral health companies in the surrounding area.
This internship blends marketing, communication, and outreach. The ideal candidate is organized, empathetic, and motivated to help people connect with mental health care. You’ll support follow-up efforts for patients who cancel, no-show, or express interest but don’t schedule, while also helping our team grow referral pipelines from local providers and behavioral health services.
- Monitor inbound leads from platforms like Zocdoc, WebMD, and the practice website
- Follow up with patients who cancel, no-show, or disengage to encourage rescheduling
- Help identify barriers to scheduling or retention (e.g., insurance, availability, communication gaps)
- Track weekly lead-to-appointment conversion trends and report findings
- Assist in crafting light follow-up messaging (calls, emails, or SMS) to re-engage interested patients
- Research and compile lists of local physicians, pediatricians, school counselors, and behavioral health orgs
- Call and email providers to introduce the practice, with scripts and guidance provided
- Track provider responses and referral leads in a shared CRM or tracking system
- Coordinate basic relationship-building efforts (email check-ins, thank-you notes, etc.)
- Identify outreach opportunities for practices that serve ADHD and depression populations
- Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Public Health, Psychology, Healthcare Admin, or related field
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable on the phone and via email with both patients and professionals
- Interest in healthcare, mental health, or community outreach
- Familiarity with HIPAA principles (training provided if needed)
- How patient pipelines and retention strategies drive private practice growth
- Referral development and relationship-building in healthcare settings
- Real-world CRM, patient communication, and outreach tactics
- Collaboration with operations, marketing, and clinical teams
- Exposure to healthcare tech tools and patient engagement workflows
- Unpaid Internship
- Flexible hours (with availability for some business-day outreach)
- Opportunity for extension or growth into a part-time role depending on performance and practice needs
