About Brainiac Social
Brainiac Social is a culturally driven Social Media Agency specialising in content-led marketing for hospitality, food & drink, and lifestyle brands. We develop bold, story-first campaigns that drive engagement, grow communities, and deliver results that matter.
We’re currently working on the launch of a major new food and cultural destination in Manhattan, and are seeking an experienced and creative Content Creator based in New York City to support us in bringing this campaign to life across digital platforms.
Role Overview
This role is ideal for someone deeply embedded in digital culture—especially TikTok and Instagram—with a passion for storytelling, food, and community. You should be highly skilled in creating video-first content that feels local, real, and shareable.
You’ll be on the ground weekly, capturing the sights, sounds, and stories of this exciting new venue and its talented vendors. From behind-the-scenes teasers to high-impact launch week coverage, your content will play a key role in driving buzz, footfall, and long-term engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation
- Attend regular on-site shoots to capture events, chefs, vendors, drinks, venue content, and more
- Produce short-form video content (TikToks, Reels, Stories) that is visually strong and culturally resonant
- Contribute ideas for campaign concepts, video series, and social trends we can tap into
- Edit and deliver social-ready content with quick turnaround times (especially around key launch dates)
What We’re Looking For
- Based in New York City with flexibility for regular on-site work
- Strong track record of creating social-first video content (please include your portfolio or showreel)
- Confident filming and editing with mobile or lightweight professional kit
- Excellent understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels, and local content trends
- Prior experience in food, hospitality, or culture-focused campaigns strongly preferred
- Able to work independently, communicate clearly, and meet deadlines under pressure
- Familiar with tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Rush, InShot, or similar
- Bonus: Experience working with influencers or coordinating content with talent
