We are seeking candidates with a deep understanding of construction accounting and a desire to be in a fast-growing, PE-owned environment. We’re looking for a hands-on leader who operationally minded and excited to be in details with the operations/project teams.
Location: Denver, CO (also considering Atlanta and Dallas/Fort Worth)
Schedule: Hybrid
Salary: $150-175k plus Bonus

MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS (must meet all qualifications):
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 5 years of deep construction accounting knowledge
- Controller level experience at a construction company of at least $100M in annual revenue with multi-state operations/projects
- Experience with change orders, construction revenue recognition, contracts, cost to complete estimates, claims, settlements, reserves, consolidations, and uninstalled materials
- Experience working directly with Project Managers and Field personnel to ensure accuracy of WIP reporting
- Experience managing an accounting team of at least 2 employees
- Experience managing the external audit
- Strong Excel skills (minimum requirement is the creation of Pivot Tables & utilizing Lookups)
- Experience with mid to large ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, etc.
- CPA
- Experience with government contracts in the construction industry
- Experience with Prophix or Viewpoint Spectrum ERP systems
