Brandeis University is delighted to announce a career opportunity as Research Program Manager in psychology. The Research Program Manager oversees all research Dr. Anne Berry, PI, is involved and, in some instances, carries out project-based research. The Research Program Manager assists the PI in designing the research protocols for various behavioral and neuroimaging studies, and prepares research budgets in consultation with the PI and other scholars, for grant-funded projects. The Research Program Manager is responsible for ensuring IRB approval is in place for relevant projects. In addition, Research Program Manager facilitates all activities required to support the completion of the research as agreed upon by the PI- this includes oversight of recruitment and retention, community engagement, and maintaining schedules and timelines. The Research Program Manager also ensures that projects are completed within the agreed upon budgets and ensures any variations are reviewed with the PI. They also work with PIs as needed on data analysis, and preparation of reports. This person will supervise research staff, postdocs, undergrad and graduate students. The Research Program Manager will oversee, in conjunction with the study PI, study operations from study inception to study termination, guiding staff and students in regulatory requirements, problem-solving, and status reports. Additionally, the research manager will collaborate with external stakeholders at Mass General Hospital and other institutions actively in study logistics and recruitment.
Job Description:
- Supervises lab manager and all other full-time research staff, which will be supported through weekly meetings, IDPs and by overseeing all new staff training and onboarding.
- Oversees subject saftely and eligibility screening and scheduling for MRI, PET and behavioral experiments conducted at Brandeis University and MGH/Martinos. Oversees all participant interaction through email and in-person testing sessions.
- Orders radioactive tracers for PET imaging, schedules nursing staff for research visits, schedules research assistants for brain imaging data collection and behavioral testing.
- Ensures we are abiding by all regulatory IRB requirements by completing amendments, continuing reviews, maintaining all current consent forms, training staff and graduate students and by maintaining sIRB contracts with MGH/Martinos and Boston College.
- Oversees grant budgets for all lab expenses and monitors that student, staff, and postdoc effort is allocated properly across grants.
- Monitors our compliance with FDA and Cerveau contracts.

Qualifications:
- BA or BS required
- MA or Post graduate program in Project manager preferred
- 5-8 years of relevant experience required
