Then we need YOU to help support the Chief Executive Officer and President of Bray International, Inc., a growing valve manufacturing company in Houston, TX.
We are currently seeking a polished professional and dynamic high level Executive Assistant to join our team! You will act as the "gatekeeper," managing the requirements of two executive’s, with an ability to decide which scheduled events or meetings are most appropriate for the executive's time. The ideal candidate will exercise good judgement, discretion, and flexibility in your approach. You will be proactively anticipating the needs of the executives that you support, as a problem solver who can multi-task with ease.
The Executive Assistant will serve as an integral member of the Executive Team with responsibilities including, but not limited to the following:
- Performs critical administrative functions including typing, proofreading, editing documents, correspondence and reports as needed
- Regularly prepares sophisticated marketing presentations based on Executives’ inputs using PowerPoint (and/or other programs)
- Develops and maintains complex spreadsheets, databases, and reports
- Gathers data for key reports and tracking measurements as directive by executive’s
- Maintains an efficient paper and electronic filing system and ensures quick retrieval of requested information
- Suggests process and procedure improvements to increase efficiency and improve communication of departmental and functional information
- Keeps abreast of latest trends and technology related to administrative functions
- Identifies and suggests ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of key processes and procedures
- Responsible for screening phone calls and visitors. Takes accurate phone and verbal messages and ensures that messages are delivered in a timely manner
- Independently resolves most inquires and will handle confidential and sensitive information or issues
- Responsible for scheduling and assisting with maintenance of calendar invites, appointments and travel itineraries and related arrangements and ensuring accurate and timely communication to all parties
- Plans, coordinates, and makes arrangements for on-site or offsite events, conferences, meetings, and/or dining reservations on a local and global level

Strong business acumen: understand the business and anticipate needs; make sound judgement calls when needed; make well thought-out decisions and think ahead to predict outcomes
Commitment to confidentiality: demonstrate the ability and temperament to work with sensitive information; ensure all matters are kept in strict confidence.
Willingness to be flexible: maintain an adaptable work schedule as dictated by the needs of the business for projects and meetings. Must demonstrate resourcefulness and initiative to complete difficult assignments
Technical Knowledge: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) with the ability to use department specific software packages. Marketing expertise with respect to Microsoft PowerPoint and the development of presentations.
High School Diploma required
10 years’ of related experience required working in an executive assistant role supporting C-Level executives using advanced skills in areas of administrative specialization.
Added bonus if you have: paralegal training and experience or manufacturing industry knowledge (helpful, but not required)
Some travel may be required
