This position provides direct support to adults with mental illness in the community and the consumers’ homes. We follow a person-centered psychosocial rehabilitation model in our work with consumers. Skills staff work side by side with clients to access community and social support resources, develop daily living skills such as personal care, budgeting, home maintenance and organization, daily routines, meal planning, emotional and physical self-care, and coping skill development. Skills workers help motivate and support clients to meet personal recovery goals by assisting to break down goals into smaller, manageable tasks and addressing these tasks one step at a time.

The ideal candidate will have some direct services experience in the mental health field; however, we are always interested in training the right candidates. Since this is a community based position, travel is required. An MHRT/C or MHRT/C-provisional certification is required, as well as valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and insurance. Good communication, organization, time management and customer service skills are required.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
