As a Behavioral Technician, you'll work closely with clients, implementing science-rooted teaching procedures in an exciting, fun, and motivating learning environment.
New RBTs will work in our clinic but will have the option to graduate to in-home and in-school with experience and mentorship. Our clinic operates on a four day work week, Monday through Thursday 8 AM to 6 PM.
Position Summary:
RBTs work with clients on the autism spectrum to help them acquire new skills, improve communication and socialization, and reduce challenging behaviors as directed by an individualized treatment plan. As an experienced and registered behavior technician.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
· Achieve and Maintain certifications, and licenses as required by insurance companies, local, and state agencies as required.
· Participate, and contribute in team meetings.
· Collect data and write concise notes during client shifts.
· Engage in cleaning and administrative duties as assigned to shifts.
· Willingness to learn different procedures and engage in play skills.
· Embrace the Breakthrough Autism culture deck, promoting positive attitudes and upholding company values.
To qualify for this job, you must have:
· High School diploma (some college/college degree is preferred)
· Previous experience working with children with strong play skills or willingness to learn how to teach through play.
· Ability to pass a criminal background check.
· Reliable transportation
· Ability to become a Registered Behavior Technician within specified time frame.
· Strong attention to detail
· Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
