Job Description

Responsibilities :

The Emergency Department Director is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the Emergency Department to ensure quality patient care and services.
Assumes responsibility, authority and accountability for staffing, management, patient care, and service operation, serving as a role model for excellence in patient care.
Works closely with the Chief Nursing Officer and other healthcare professionals.
Assists in developing, implementing, and evaluating policies, procedures, and systems.
Manages the scheduling of staff and ensure adequate coverage.
Assists with assessing patient care needs, developing plans, and monitoring progress.
Ensures compliance with regulatory standards and requirements.
Assists in budget development and management.
Develops and implement quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications :

Active Kentucky Registered Nurse Licensure.

BSN strongly preferred.

BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required. TNCC preferred.

At least 5 years of emergency department experience strongly preferred.

Supervisor management experience required
