What are the responsibilities and job description for the Med/Surg Director of Nursing position at Breckinridge Health Inc?
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for leading and directing unit staff involved in the provision of patient care within respective unit, including hiring and disciplining when necessary.
- The position assumes responsibility, authority and accountability for staffing, management, patient care, and service operation, serving as a role model for excellence in patient care.
- Evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice and nursing services to identify areas of opportunity and to ensure nursing practice continually improves and impacts positively on patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Active Kentucky Registered Nurse Licensure
- BLS and ACLS Certification
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in nursing preferred.
- Supervisory management experience required.
