What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Park Worker position at Bremer County Iowa?
The Bremer County Conservation Board is seeking candidates to fill 2 Seasonal Park Maintenance positions. The selected individuals will assist in a variety of tasks associated with the management of parks, wildlife areas, and trails managed by the Bremer County Conservation Board. This position may require some weekend, night, and holiday hours.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license. Successful candidate shall pass background check as well as a physical and drug screen. Ability to routinely lift 75 pounds and work in all weather conditions. Ability to operate and assist with the maintenance of various outdoor equipment.

DESCRIPTION: Seasonal position under general supervision of the Director and direct supervision of the Natural Resource Technicians. Performs mowing, weed eating, cleaning of facilities, facility and park maintenance, public relations, interaction with park visitors and other jobs as assigned. May assist the county Naturalists with outdoor education programming as needed. Preferred experience in operation of equipment such as mowers, trimmers, skid loaders, tractors, chain saws and hand tools. Will work a non-standard work week with some night, weekend and holiday work required. This is a seasonal position running from approximately April to October and will not exceed 40 hours per week.
WAGE: $12-$14/hr. 40 hours per week.
