Job Title: Program Director
Department: Programs
Reports to: Executive Director
Supervises: Seasonal employees and volunteers
Status: Full-time, Exempt
Under the direction and guidance of the Executive Director, the Program Director is responsible for the planning and organizing of Brenham Next programming. The Program Director is also responsible for ensuring appropriate training for staff and volunteers to fulfill the mission of serving the youth of our community by providing fun, engaging, educational, and spiritually rich environments through our two programs: BLAST and JAM, and our newly created LEAD meetings, with the appropriate resources to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for planning, organization, and training for organization’s programs. • Recruiting/training/discipleship of Educational Instructors, Missionary Counselors, ProJ’s and volunteer leaders.
- Recruiting/registering children to participate in the after-school Leadership Academy and JAM summer program.
- Pairs students with tutors
- Assist in maintaining good standing in the continuous relationship with BISD central office, Krause Elementary, Brenham Elementary, Alton Elementary, and Brenham Middle School.
- Working with BISD and other organizations as needed, utilize curriculum that teaches biblical leadership skills and instills godly characteristics.
- Researching, and staying up to date, teaching techniques and training them effectively.
- Organizing curriculum, songs, games, and step that is to be taught during Big Group time and training Big Group teachers throughout the course of JAM and BLAST. • Develop relationships with parents, keeping them updated on the progress of their child and when beneficial, inviting parental involvement.
- Organize weekly Step Competition and Field trips for JAM.
- Working alongside BISD administration and summer school educators to coordinate JAM with the summer school program.
- Coordinates Educational Instructors and Tutors for BLAST and Topic Teachers for LEAD meetings.
- Acts as a sounding board for staff, volunteers, and mentors
- Assists ED with tasks as needed
Admin Responsibilities:
- Initiate background checks on all volunteers
- Assisting in child registration
- Hiring Educational Instructors and Missionary Counselors

- Assist present ministry directors as needed as community ministry outreach grows. • Connecting the children, teens, and young adults with Christ through the teaching of His Word in order to make committed disciples.
- Caring for families by building quality relationships with parents of children and teens and partnering together in the teaching of God’s Word.
- Committing to families by developing ministry leaders that model Christlikeness to the children while partnering with the parents in the spiritual growth and maturity of their children.
- Supervise Education Instructors, Missionary Counselors, Pro-J’s, Jam Teens, and all ministry volunteers.
- Committing to pouring into, praying for, and empowering Education Instructors, Missionary Counselors, Pro-J’s, Jam Teens, and all ministry volunteers involved in our organization.

Position Education and Experience:
- Previous Brenham Next Experience or similar experience not required, but highly preferred.
- Preferably Education, Sociology, or Social Work majors, but not required.
- Previous non-profit experience not required, but highly preferred.
Time Commitment
- Generally 40 hours per week, with additional hours required during peak periods
- Must be available for meetings, special events and training, as well as recruitment opportunities, as needed
- Must be willing to adjust hours to accommodate the needs of the ministry
Environmental/Working Conditions
- Some work will be completed in a professional office setting
- Some work will be completed in a typical classroom setting
- Some work will be completed in a large auditorium, cafeteria, or gym setting with loud music
- Some work will be completed at program sites and, at times, in outdoor settings, often in the extreme Texas summer heat
- The noise level in the environment is usually very loud and noisy.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30,000.00 - $35,000.00 per year
