RV Technician Apprenticeship

The outdoor recreation industry is booming and RV Technician is now rated as the #3 new career in the United States.  We are looking to grow people into these positions by offering a training program to ensure you will be successful in becoming a certified RV Technician. 

Are you a get it done kind of person who sees the value in a good day’s work for a good day’s pay? Do you have experience in mechanics, carpentry, plumbing, or other trade? RV specific experience is not required. Our onsite training program was designed to supply you with the knowledge and tools you need to be successful!

Description

   Bretz RV & Marine looking to grow their technician programs by hiring motivated individuals who want to be a part of the top growing careers in the country.  RV Technician was recently published to be the #3 fastest growing career in the United States.

    We are currently seeking to hire a group of RV Technician Trainees who live in the Missoula, MT area. We will provide all the necessary training to become a certified RV technician. Our Service Technicians are responsible for preparing RVs for sale, installing accessories, and repairing mechanical systems when they fail. In this position you will work directly with senior level technicians, service advisors, parts team members and other co-workers to learn and grow in this career.

    It takes 12-24 months to become trained and certified to be an RVIA Certified RV Technician. The training time frame is based on each individual candidate’s mechanical skills and experience. This is the best way to start your career path in servicing recreational vehicles!

Qualifications

Experience (any two items from the list below and we teach the rest):

• 2 years high school shop class
• 2 years of experience working on / repairing automobiles (home or business)
• Basic understanding of 12V electrical (car audio, equipment, tractors, automobiles, etc.)
• Basic understanding of 110V electrical (residential or commercial)
• Basic ability in welding / fabrication
• Basic understanding of small engines
• Basic ability in construction / carpentry
• Basic ability in plumbing
• Basic ability in automotive accessory install

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent, technical college degree preferred

Requirements

• Provide a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening test
• 18 years of age or older

Work Attire

• Requires wearing closed toe shoes
• A technician uniform shirt will be provided
• Blue or Black work pants (no denim jeans)

About Our Dealership
   Bretz RV & Marine opened for business in Missoula, Montana, in 1967.  Until then, Frank and Vi Bretz had been operating a service station and renting U-Hauls in central Missoula. A search for a new camping trailer ended up turning into a new business opportunity.  Not only did the Bretz family get a new camper, they decided to get into the business of selling and renting small travel trailers.

   Today Bretz RV & Marine is still a family-owned and operated business with five dealerships across Montana and Idaho.  We are fortunate to have grown from just over 100 employees to nearly 450 employees in the last six years.  We do all we can to offer our teams an excellent place to work and advance in our company.  We start by finding great people with high energy and then find the best place for them to be successful in our dealerships.
