BRG Human Resources Generalist Job Description:
The BRG Human Resources Generalist provides administrative and technical support to the HR department, handling employee records, verifications, unemployment claims and payroll related tasks. The role ensures smooth daily operations and provides vital support for employee life cycle tasks. This position also operates with BRG mission and vision at the forefront of every communication and decision making process.
Job Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Human Resources:
- Processing all employee terminations in ADP
- Organize internal office events and assist with planning employee events
- Filing all Louisiana terminations with Louisiana Workforce Commission, timely
- Respond and track to all UI claims via Case Builder in ADP
- Receive all Accident Reports from Operations & file any Workers Comp claims accordingly and timely
- Assist with processing of new hires, ensuring i-9 compliance
- Manages all FMLA requests and internal leave of absence requests with proper communication to Human Resources Director
ADP Support and Employee Records:
- Properly save and store employee documentation
- Reset employee passwords
- Update employee information as needed
- Process employment and income verifications
- Oversee W2 requests
Payroll and Operational Support:
- Work with Payroll on garnishment requests
- Process expense reports
- Manage gift card program
- Oversee and execute all donation requests
- Coordinate all BRG employee travel and specialty purchases
Executive Support:
- Assist Ownership with scheduling, travel and appearances
- Take on special tasks and relief support as needed
Requirements:
- Ability to read and write in English
- Project planning, prioritization, data analysis, computer skills
- Minimum of 2 years experience
- Strong communication skills
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, time management skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of computers. Knowledge of industry specific programs such as Toast, Open Table, etc.
- Familiarity with internet programs such as Google
- Proficient in the following dimensions of restaurant operations
- Basic math and computer/tablet skills.
- Ability to stay professional in a stressful work environment.
- Ability to work in a team environment and maintain a professional manner.
- Superb multitasking skills and an eye for detail.
- Available to work different hours including weekends, days, nights, and holidays.

- Ability to uphold company standards relating to appearance and dress.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills as well as strong task and time management abilities.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods (eight or more hours). Able to lift, push, pull and carry a minimum weight up to 50 lbs. Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time, up to eight hours per day. Able to reach above head and shoulder levels. Able to twist, kneel, bend and crawl. Able to squat and crouch. Able to perform sweeping motion, front-to-back and side-to-side. Able to work in confined spaces. Able to tolerate exposure to dust and cleaning chemicals. Able to climb stairs and ladders.
