Position Summary
We are actively looking for an intern within our Procurement organization. The intern will work with various functions within Procurement and will be a member of a Procurement team. This position is a strategic sourcing role participating in sourcing projects and ad hoc analytics in support of the category management function.
Responsibilities
As a co-op within our program, you can expect to gain experience within the areas of Problem Solving, Stakeholder Engagement, Supplier Relationship Management, Negotiating, Data Analysis, Business Acumen, and Communication.
What you need to succeed:
• Work as a member of the Procurement team by conducting analysis on spend data, contract histories, and analyzing data for bidding and sourcing initiatives
•Data mining and cleansing
• Build relationships with managers and facilitate frequent communication related to sourcing initiatives, data analysis and implementation
• Provide a critical level of support on general and special projects, financial analyses, problem resolution and other business/ analysis related needs that affect Procurement.
• Ability to read proposed contract terms and extract information
• Support various on-going projects that may include project leadership, detailed analysis, benchmarking, process mapping, organizational redesign, and business case development
• Support a global perspective for all supply chain related functions
• Actively engage in supply chain related projects and utilizing academic knowledge
Relevant education and experience required.
