POSITION SUMMARY: Bridgeway Center, Inc. (BCI) is seeking applicants that want to work with clients to effectively address clients' care by assessing needs, developing, monitoring, and facilitating interdisciplinary approaches. This position will provide social services support to parents of children ages 0 through 5, located in Okaloosa County who present behavioral challenges in childcare settings or at home. The Early Childhood Care Coordination (ECCC) program is designed to strengthen the bond of connection between caregiver and child, to promote healthy early childhood neurodevelopment in a safe and stable environment, both in the home and early childcare settings. The Parent Support Coach (PSC) will provide support and coaching to parents/primary caregivers to increase family stability and decrease childcare disruptions or prevent out-of-home placements for the most challenging children.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in psychology or a related field. Spanish-speaking or Bilingual applicants are a plus, but not required.

Applicant must be able to pass an Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA) Medicaid and Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) Level II background check, drug screen, and a Tuberculosis (TB) test. Applicant must be at least twenty-one (21) years old and have a valid Florida Driver’s License with no more than three (3) points on their driving record to be insured under BCI’s automobile insurance policy.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Main job tasks and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
The Parent Support Coach (PSC) will focus on the biological, cognitive, and socio-emotional development of the child by strengthening and preserving the child’s primary attachment and relationships. Emphasis will be placed on prevention and early intervention through timely screening, identification, and delivery of services to optimize the child’s opportunities for normative development by supporting the stability of the child’s family. BCI will empower families by making them full partners in the planning and delivery of services. The Parent Support Coach (PSC) will provide parents, caregivers and/or guardians in home support and coaching as needed. BCI will support the referral entities with early identification of infants, young children, and families at risk. BCI staff will develop individualized service plans based on comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments. BCI staff will integrate with and coordinate between all involved agencies.
WORK LOCATION: In the community work with travel between Fort Walton Beach (FWB) and Crestview (CV)
WORK HOURS: Full-Time (FT) hours will vary based on the availability of families
WAGE: The wage for this position is $20.00 per hour.
