We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Preschool Teacher to join our team at Bright Minds Academy. As a Preschool Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a fun, engaging, and educational environment for young children.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times.
- Create lesson plans and weekly activities that coordinate with curriculum themes
- Observe individual children and utilize those observations to create lesson plans based on the strengths, needs, and interests of the children.
- Act as a positive role model and provide positive reinforcement for children.
- Create daily reports for each child that focuses on behavior and lessons learned, including a photo or video every day for each child.
- Implement and follow the daily schedule.
- Ensure the classroom is age-appropriate and fun!
- Keep the classroom and bathrooms neat and orderly.
- Handle discipline in a prompt manner and in accordance with Bright Minds Academy procedures.
- Train and oversee any assistant teachers, floats, and substitutes in the classroom.
- Facilitate parent involvement and positive communication.
Qualifications:
- Must meet or exceed all Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) and National Early Childhood Program Accreditation (NECPA) requirements.
- Must have at least three month's experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields.
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field or a child development associate credential is preferred, but will consider others based on experience.
- Ability to build rapport with families, children, and peers.
