Career Coach
Brighton Center, a not-for-profit agency, has a full-time Career Coach opportunity for an individual who would like to make a career in a not-for-profit organization. We are looking for an individual who has a passion to work in an organization that helps its customers become self-sufficient.
Position Purpose: To provide employment preparation skills, build relationships with employers, assist individuals with placement in externship and employment, follow up on employed individuals’ progress, and provide alumni support with a customer-first attitude.
Job Responsibilities (not inclusive)
- Provide Medical Assisting Trainees with resume and cover letter preparation services,
- Maintain and update the professional skill prep curriculum,
- Provide career counseling and develop individualized placement goals,
- Develop and maintain externships and job shadow opportunities,
- Provide employment placement assistance,
- Follow up with employed trainees for two years after the start of employment.
Qualifications (not inclusive)
- A Bachelor's degree and/or combination of education/training and experience (professional and/or lived) is valued and will be highly considered.
- 2-3 years experience in Workforce Development and/or Nonprofit work
- Customer service experience
