HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE AS OUR DIRECTOR OF NURSING - DON:
As our Director of Nursing - DON, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of exceptional home healthcare services. You will oversee all clinical operations, establish and evaluate goals for home care services, and coordinate care between services to meet the needs of our clients. Your responsibilities will include providing non-medical care, making initial evaluations, counseling clients and families, supervising caregiving staff, and participating in performance improvement activities. With your leadership and expertise, you will help us uphold our commitment to quality and excellence in home healthcare!
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
- Current RN license in the state of California
- 5 years of clinical nursing experience with at least half of that time working in home health or a related healthcare organization
- 3 years of experience directly supervising employees
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance and federal regulations, including OSHA and HIPAA
- Ability to supervise and manage a team
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull (varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client)
- Flexibility to travel daily, including weekends, nights, and holidays
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Highly analytical with strong critical thinking abilities
A bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred but not required. Policy development experience and case management skills are also a plus!
THE SCHEDULE THAT AWAITS:
The schedule for this position is part-time, with the potential for full-time opportunities in the future. As our Director of Nursing - DON, you'll assist with on-call emergencies as needed and travel up to 60% of the time for various staff and client service needs, as well as for training and conferences.
