Position: Certifying Scientist I (Remote)
Supervisor: Director of Science Data
Subordinates: None
FLSA: Non Exempt
Position Summary:
This role is for a Certifying Scientist with two or more years of experience and qualified under CLIA. The Certifying Scientist is responsible for the quantitation of MS data and final review of patient related data reports for toxicological examinations of target compounds and metabolites.
Essential Job Duties:

Final review and certification of patient reports following established protocols for urine testing utilizing LCMS confirmation testing results in high complexity toxicology laboratory

Review calibration curves, QC data, and confirmation data

Review data reports individually checking for completion of all ordered tests

Transmit completed data analysis to the Laboratory Information System (LIS)

Participate fully in all quality control procedures and comply with quality assurance and quality management standards within the department as outlined by the department, CLIA, and other applicable agencies

Understanding of Levy-Jennings charting

Adhere to CLIA and HIPAA compliance standards

High level of attention to detail
Qualifications
Required Certification/License:
None
Required work experience:
3 to 5 years of experience processing toxicology data, including data acceptance and certification.
At least 2 year of pertinent full-time clinical laboratory experience using LC/MS instrumentation and providing toxicology interpretations
