Title: Family Support Team Case Manager

Grade Level: G, Entry Level
Supervised by: Program Manager
Starting Wage: $19 or $20.14 (Bilingual proficiency add-on) hourly, non-exempt.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus two years relevant professional experience in social or human services-related positions, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English is preferred but not required.

Flexible hours are typical. This position is based in Bellingham, WA, and works throughout Whatcom County. 


Purpose: As a case manager in Brigid Collins's Family Support Team, your purpose will be to empower and support families who have experienced child abuse or other crimes by providing compassionate, comprehensive advocacy and resources. Family Support Team case managers are dedicated to fostering a safe, healing environment where families can build resilience, access resources, and work towards their goals. Through personalized guidance, empathetic listening, and collaborative problem-solving, case managers strive to ensure that every family receives the necessary tools and support to overcome trauma, strengthen their bonds, and achieve a brighter, more secure future. Family Support Team case managers also provide victim advocacy to children and their families in the Children's Advocacy Centers. As advocates, case managers are passionate about supporting justice, facilitating access to essential services, and being steadfast allies in families' journeys toward recovery and empowerment

 

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Deliver case management support service to families to prevent child abuse and neglect.
  • Provide support for families during forensic interviews at the Children’s Advocacy Center.
  • Provide active outreach to engage clients in service.
  • Coordinate with other service professionals within the community to serve families.
  • Responsible for program planning, development, implementation, and outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain the required caseload.
  • Develop and monitor the client’s/family’s service plan.
  • Provide needed referrals and linkages.
  • Attend and facilitate staffing/multi-disciplinary team meetings to establish and maintain collaborative and coordinated service plans.
  • Maintain documentation and reporting procedures.
  • Meet and maintain standards for all evidence-based practices including quality assurance, improvement, and training activities.
  • Fulfill various contract expectations as assigned.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
