What are the responsibilities and job description for the Per Diem Med Tech position at Brio Living Services?
Status: Per Diem
Per Diem Team Members are required to work a minimum of 5 shifts per month, based on the needs of the department. 2 of the 5 shifts must be on a weekend. Per Diem Team Members must meet all training requirements within the first 30 days of hire. This will include required training during normal business hours on weekdays (4 minimum weekday training requirements to be completed within 2 weeks of hire)

Required Qualifications
- Must have 6 months of experience in direct caregiver role and/or passing medications or equivalent education/background.
- Experience of passing medications in an assisted living, skilled nursing, or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Completion of Medication Technician Certification preferred.
- Must be able to safely lift, push, pull, and carry up to a minimum of 50 lbs. Anything heavier than 50 lbs. must require assistance or assistive equipment for task to be performed safely.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Must take and pass facility designated medication assistance training.
- Must be courteous and professional in personal interactions with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agency representatives and public.
- Must be willing to build rapport with all residents using patience, intentional and appropriate pacing, cueing and neutral positive regard.
