Position Summary:
The Revenue Cycle Manager oversees, manages, optimizes the entire revenue cycle process for Brio Living Services Obligated Group and Affordable Housing, Residential and Home Based Health Communities. This critical role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing, cash collections, leading the revenue cycle team and compliance with laws. The Manager collaborates with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure an effective revenue cycle process. The Revenue Cycle Manager reports to the Senior Director of Financial Reporting & Foundation.
Essential Responsibilities:
Revenue Cycle Oversight
- Review, develop, and implement strategies to optimize the revenue cycle process
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas of improvement
Billing & Claims Management
- Perform and oversee timely and accurate billing and payment application
- Perform and oversee collections of all accounts
- Lead monthly AR meetings with the billing team and operational leaders
- Identify issues with past due accounts, communicate findings, determine and implement solutions
Implement Policies and Procedures
- Develop written policies and procedures that create a best in class revenue cycle function
- Implement and drive a culture of continuous improvement
- Document current workflow state and partner with campus/entity teams to optimize revenue cycle process
- Implement key metrics and performance measures for billing and collections
Technology & Data
- Ensure systems are being utilized consistently, appropriately and are being fully optimized
- Partner with clinical leaders to implement best practices of data capture
Leadership and Training
- Supervise, train, mentor, coach and support growth of team members
- Manage individual and team performance
- Clearly, concisely and respectfully set and communicate expectations for revenue cycle team
Compliance and Regulatory
- Be knowledgeable of all rules and regulations surrounding the revenue cycle process
- Ensure compliance with laws
- Research payer requirements and regulatory changes and incorporate into revenue cycle process
- Facilitate regular trainings with revenue cycle team and others
Customer Service
- Demonstrate superior customer service
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Eight (8) or more years of progressive billing/revenue cycle experience preferred.
- Four (4) or more years of supervisory/management experience required.
- Healthcare experience required.
- PointClickCare software experience preferred.
