What are the responsibilities and job description for the Childcare Floater position at Brite Beginnings Childcare Center?

If you have children, this is a position where you are not able to bring your child unless we have openings.
This postion would be at least 3 days a week but could possibly be up to 5 days. We need someone who can cover when other staff need time off or call in, someone who has reliable transportation, is flexible, hardworking, and loves children is a must for this position. Must be willing to work between the hours of 6am-5:30pm Monday-Friday. This position as a floater is floating around the building covering breaks, cleaning, covering end of the day shifts or anything else that needs to be done. Floater shifts are 9:45am-5:30pm or 12:00pm-5:30pm unless covering for a full day shift.
Responsibilities:
Providing care for children, such as setting schedules and routines, grooming, feeding, changing diapers, and cleaning rooms and toys.
Developing and encouraging age-appropriate learning and socialization to ensure children learn basic skills and concepts, such as communication, manners, sharing, etc.
Maintaining a safe workplace by monitoring children for health, behavioral, and emotional issues and reporting concerns to staff and parents.
Helping children discover new interests by introducing them to art, music, sports, and other potential hobbies.
Ensuring children are learning positive behaviors and providing guidance or approved discipline, as needed.
Keeping records relating to childcare.
Have experince working with children ages birth and up.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
A valid driver’s license or State ID
18 years or older
Decisiveness, patience, and stamina to chase after, lift, or carry children.
Pass a background check at your cost of $66.25. After 6 months from date of hire, you will be reimbursed.
TB Test at your expense.
CPR/First Aid certified within 90 days of hire. We provide this.
Complete mandatory licensing trainings.
Exceptional communication, teaching, and interpersonal skills.
Attentiveness to the needs and safety of children.
Exceptional attendance-we do not tolerate habitual calling in. The families and children rely on us to take care of their children and we need you here to do that.
Pay is $11.50 per hour.
