Join our Garden Services Division at Britescape as a Landscape Construction Crew Lead. As a Landscape Construction Crew Lead, you will work under the general supervision of the Garden Services Manager, handling a variety of tasks from irrigation and planting to soil preparation and grading. Our projects range from installing small garden pathways and retaining walls to lawn renovations and planting installations. We strive to go above and beyond for our clients, ensuring that every home evolves and adapts to new conditions, remaining beautiful and functional.
Responsibilities
- Leading a crew/team of installers
- Loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials
- Excavation, hand trenching, and use of small power tools
- Site clean-up
- Irrigation pipe installation, preparation, and gluing
- Use of small machinery
- Working with garden maintenance crews depending on the needs of the department and business
- Procuring, purchasing, and delivering materials for jobs
- Tracking hours for each job and analyzing efficiency
- Utilizing business management software
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in landscape construction/installation (Required)
- Valid Driver’s License
- Work authorization
- Ability to follow directions
- Ability to lift 75 lbs
- Ability to work on your feet all day in all seasons
- Working knowledge of power tools, their care, proper use, and related safety requirements
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the field
- Ability to take on small construction tasks and delegate in the field as needed
Compensation
The position offers an hourly compensation of $26-$30, with a schedule of 40 hours per week (8 hour days, Monday to Friday during Fall and Winter, 10 hour days, Monday-Thursday during Spring and Summer).
