ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

This role is part of Information Digital Technology.

We’re seeking a dynamic and passionate individual to join our IT team as the Magento eCommerce Developer.  This role will be focused on providing code development that increases speed to market and reduces total cost of ownership and improves ecosystem stability and health.

The Lead Magento 2 Developer will join a team contributing to the development of RAI’s eCommerce websites hosted on Magento. In this critical role, you will be responsible for code development for our eCommerce business.

Reports to: Senior Director IDT - eCommerce

Reporting Level: No Direct Reports

Geographic Scope: Local

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

• Produce clean, readable, adaptable, and quality code.
• Assist blocked scrum team members and educating Junior Developers on best practices.
• Participate in Magento Code reviews, as well as Scrum Ceremonies.
• Integrate with third-party services and components.
• Build test scripts and manage the team to properly execute them.

• Are you proficient with Magento 2 development?

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Minimum of 3 years PHP, object-oriented programming, and web development experience.
• Minimum of 2 years e-commerce experience with Magento 2 development.
• Experience with Web Services GraphQL/REST/SOAP/WSDL/XML/SOA.
• Ability to develop custom PHP solutions for Magento eCommerce.
• Ability to identify and remedy poorly performing code.
• Ability to analyze larger problems, decompose them into smaller tasks and assign them to Jr. developers.
• Ability to take a project “end-to-end” with Magento.
• Knowledge of e-commerce data organization and catalogs (categories/products/attributes).
• Proficient with Magento 2 APIs (REST, GraphQL).
• College Degree or relevant work experience.

BENEFICIAL

• Magento 2 Developer/Developer Plus Certification.
• Experience with Magento Cloud Full Stack.
• Experience with Headless Architecture.
