Purpose of Position:

Serve the needs of clients and beneficiaries providing the full extent of the exceptional Broadway client experience. Supervise associate on your relationship management team overseeing all aspects of the joint team responsibilities.
Key Accountabilities:
Manage Fiduciary Relationships:
Establish and/or maintain contact relationships with clients, and where appropriate, their family members (spouse, children, grandchildren) to maximize the lifetime value of these relationships
Proactively provide a full range of financial/banking services to best serve clients' needs with the assistance of the appropriate specialists throughout the organization
Build loyalty and drive profitable revenue growth by applying key client relationship management principles so as to:
Resolve immediate client concerns and account issues
Develop and execute targeted client retention and expansion activities (develop and secure new business from existing portfolio base)
Cultivate new clients, ensuring more effective identification of and development of potentially high-value relationships
Work to ensure that a coordinated and consistent message reaches targeted clients across all delivery/service channels
Deliver all aspects of The Broadway Client Experience
Demonstrate strong solution-oriented sales and communications skills and effectively establish rapport and credibility with clients
Develop collaborative relationships with client's team of advisors including the CPA and attorney
Demonstrate leadership and team-building skills
Exhibit a broad knowledge of financial services and products with a client-centric focus
Command of fiduciary principles and regulatory requirements including:
Sound fiduciary account management
Fiduciary taxation
Securities transfer
Community property
State and federal laws governing trusts, foundations, estates & investments
Apply knowledge of the law and fiduciary planning strategies:
Review and interpret governing documents and determine the required actions and oversight needed to appropriately balance the interests of beneficiaries and remaindermen, protect the account assets and minimize risk to the Bank
Manage risk to protect the bank from liability in carrying out its fiduciary duties
Apply knowledge of fiduciary and estate planning strategies to benefit clients and prospects and communicate effectively and tactfully with clients, prospects and their advisors about such strategies and planning documents.
Perform a variety of duties in carrying out sound fiduciary account management:
Review tax returns and supporting documents
Review all transactions including distributions to beneficiaries, security purchases and sales, tax payments, real estate, oil & gas and expenses to insure appropriateness under the terms of the operative document and compliance with OTC requirements
Promptly, efficiently and accurately engage with outside financial institutions to record (or distribute) account assets and obtain (or provide) accurate cost basis in a respectful and timely manner
Control and maintain related files
Promptly and accurately initiate new accounts, receipts, disbursements, discretionary distributions, closed accounts, and other functions as required
Supervise associate who partners on relationship management issues:
Oversee all aspects of account administration giving special attention to detailed follow-through, documentation, and organization of files under sound fiduciary management principles
Teach, coach, and mentor associate to achieve maximum career potential based on individual ability and desire for career growth.
Set the example for teamwork, initiative, empowerment, communications and service excellence as detailed within our Major Accountabilities and Competencies section of the Performance Evaluation Process.
Become an ambassador for the bank:
Seek out new opportunities to leverage our full capabilities to new clients in all areas of the bank
Cultivate relationships with estate planning professionals to promote referrals to Broadway and Wealth Management services
Serve in the community through Broadway Care Corps events and other community leadership opportunities such as service on the board of directors for non-profit organizations or organizations that relate to appropriate business disciplines
Speak publicly within area of specialty, participate in media interviews, write articles for publication or conduct educational seminars within the community
Work Experience Requirements:
7 years fiduciary experience in the field of personal trust or 5 years legal, financial planning, or related experience.
Demonstrated understanding of accounting principles.
Ability to positively interact with high level clients and all levels of bank employees.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferred: 10 years fiduciary experience in the field of personal trusts of 5 years of private legal practice or equivalent, financial planning, or related field.
Education Requirements:
4 year College Degree
Preferred: 4 year College Degree and Law Degree or 4 year College Degree and professional designation of Certified Financial Planner, Chartered Financial Analyst or Certified Trust Financial Advisor.
Other Qualifications:
PC proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
