What are the responsibilities and job description for the Precision Grinder position at Bronson and Bratton Inc?
Precision Grinder needed in a family-owned shop.
- Ability (3 year experience or schooling equivalent) to read and understand sketches, blue prints.
- Operate one or more grinding machines for the purpose of grinding parts with supervision.
- Ability to set up, indicate, grind to size various products in a timely manner with supervision.
- Verify conformance of work to specification using gauges, micrometers, and other inspection equipment as needed with supervision.
- Select proper wheels, mount and dress as needed with supervision.
- Ability to polish and maintain size and finish per print.
- Maintain an accurate count and record production pieces and hours of production.
- Maintain product handling, to protect product from damage.
- Keep equipment and product free of FOD, Foreign Object Debris.
- Maintain a clean work area based on company housekeeping protocol.
- Follow all company safety protocol.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
