What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Account Coordinator position at BronxCare Health System?
Overview
Performs resident screening, insurance verification, beenfit application(s), billing, follow-up and posting. work with Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, other third party and residents regarding financial responsibilities and payments. Process claims and maintains confidential information. Assist in all accounts receivable activities as required.
Qualifications
3 years prior collection experience in a healthcare setting or equivilant combination of education, training or experience. Knowledge of NYS Medicaid eligibility rules and regulations. Must be able to analyze data and report findings in a constructive and solution oriented manner. Should be able to prioritize workloads, offer suggestios and meet deadline. Must have effective communication and interpersonal skills; customer service skills; ability to interpret and communicate information; to identify and meet customer's/resident's needs and desire to learn new information and skills.
High School or GED Required
Associate Degree Preferred
