Position Summary:
Brookfield Country Club is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Food Runner. This entry-level position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-end environment, and is ideal for individuals looking to learn the fundamentals of fine dining service. No prior experience is necessary – we are willing to train the right person. As a Food Runner, you will work closely with the Expeditor to coordinate ticket and order management and deliver food to the dining room for servers to service members. You will also be cross-trained in banquet service and buffet-style events, gaining valuable skills in both a la carte and banquet dining.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Expo team to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient order deliveries
- Deliver food orders to the appropriate dining areas, ensuring presentation and order accuracy
- Work closely with servers to ensure smooth service flow and member satisfaction
- Cross-train in banquet service, including food running for buffet-style events and a la carte dining
- Learn and apply the basic steps of fine dining service
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of service areas
- Communicate effectively with team members to address any special requests or issues during service
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring all member needs are met with professionalism and a positive attitude
Qualifications:
- No prior experience required; we are happy to train the right candidate
- Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to communicate effectively and maintain a professional demeanor
- Must be able to stand, walk, and carry heavy trays or plates during shift
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
